How to Play
- Choose Walls for the classic challenge or Wrap-around to glide through the edges.
- Swipe on the board, press an arrow key or tap the on-screen buttons to start moving.
- Steer the snake to the yellow gem. Each gem adds 10 points and makes the snake one block longer.
- Keep going as the snake speeds up every 50 points.
- The run ends when the head hits a wall (in Walls mode) or any part of the body.
Rules
The snake moves one square at a time and never stops. You can turn left or right, but you cannot reverse straight back into yourself. In Walls mode the edge of the board is solid, so touching it ends the run. In Wrap-around mode, leaving one side brings you back on the opposite side, which means the only danger is your own growing body.
Your best score is saved on this device for each mode, so you always have a target to chase. Scores are never uploaded anywhere.
Tips & Strategy
- Hug the edges early. While the snake is short, travel along the outside of the board. It keeps the middle open for later, when you need space to turn.
- Plan the way out before you eat. A gem tucked in a corner is easy to reach but hard to leave. Check that you have an escape path first.
- Use a zigzag pattern when you are long. Sweeping the board in neat rows back and forth means your tail is always moving out of the way ahead of you.
- Queue your turns. The game remembers up to two quick turns, so a fast double swipe lets you make a tight U-turn safely.
- Slow down your thumbs, not the snake. Most crashes come from panicked extra swipes. One clean swipe per turn is all you need.
- Pause when you need to. Press P or Escape (or switch tabs) and the game waits for you.
Game Modes
Snake is a solo game. Walls is the traditional version where the board edges are deadly — ideal for learning control. Wrap-around removes the walls entirely, so runs last longer and scores climb higher, but a long snake fills the screen quickly and every turn matters.
Play with Friends
There is no online room for Snake, but it makes a great friendly contest. Each of you plays a run on your own phone, then tap Share on the results screen to send your score on WhatsApp or Telegram and challenge friends to beat it.

How do I control the snake on a phone?
Swipe anywhere on the board in the direction you want to go, or use the large arrow buttons under the board. Both work at the same time, so use whichever feels more natural.
Why does the snake get faster?
The speed increases every 50 points to keep the game exciting. It stops speeding up after a while, so very long runs stay fair.
What is the difference between Walls and Wrap-around?
In Walls mode, hitting the edge ends your run. In Wrap-around mode you pass through the edge and come out on the other side, so only your own tail can stop you.
Is my best score saved?
Yes, your best score for each mode is kept in your browser on this device. Clearing your browser data will reset it.
Can I keep playing after I crash?
Sometimes a continue option appears after a run ends. It is optional, and your run is complete without it.
